70-year-old mainland Chinese woman sentenced to 6 years and 8 months

An elderly mainland Chinese woman in 60s opened a bank account in 2011 and allowed it to be used by others. Between March 2011 and June 2012 was found to be used for money laundering amounting to over HK$6 billion. In return, she was paid a few thousand dollars. She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to launder money and was sentenced to 6 years and 8 months in the High Court on date 26th June 2020.
